Originating with Adie von Gontard's stewardship of APAA Sports in 2016, specializing in NBA and NFL player representation and marketing ventures, the agency's trajectory intersected with the visionary efforts of Lil' Wayne and Tez Bryant, founders of Young Money Sports.
Pioneering success prior to the merger, APAA Sports and Young Money Sports individually marked significant milestones, with Young Money Sports acquiring Player's Rep in 2017 as a testament to their foresight and ambition.
The zenith of this collaboration was the triumphant representation of the number 3 overall NFL draft pick, Quinnen Williams, and his brother Quincy Williams drafted in the 3rd round, in 2019. After graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in Marketing Communications, Daveed excelled in a multitude of roles within the sports industry, having worked at the UofA Athletics Department and Impact Basketball. Additionally, Daveed brings over a decade's worth of experience in the negotiation space having secured corp partnerships with national brands such as Nike, 7-11, Sport Clips, Chill's, and Petco while working for tech giant Yelp. In his current role with YMAPAA, Daveed is involved in all aspects of client representation, including player endorsements, recruiting, NBA Draft preparation, and NBA free agency. Daveed represents Charles Bassey and leads our NIL department.
Peter von Gontard

Peter is part owner of YMAPAA and brother to Adie von Gontard. Peter became a NFL Sports Agent for YMAPAA Sports Agency in 2018 and has represented numerous draft picks and veterans in the NFL. Peter graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University in 2007 with a degree in Finance / Real Estate. Furthermore, he received a MBA from Southern Methodist University in 2011.
In the past, Peter has continued to pursue his passion for Real Estate and development. Through acquisition/deposition of properties for his personal family, he has negotiated well over $100 million in assets.
Peter has honed in his skills and past experience to always capture the largest contracts and payouts for his clients. His well-rounded background also allows him to assist his clients with all facets of their lives not just a player’s contract negation. This includes experience and expertise in: company formation, home purchase/sale negotiation, planning for financial success off the field, and advice on various player investments.

Ali currently serves as Vice President of Basketball Operations for Young Money APAA Sports. By obsessing over the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement, Salary Cap, and Analytics, Ali works everyday to develop clever and unique opportunities for clients to exceed their earning potential, both on and off the court. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Ali began interning for YMAPAA in 2018 while in Law School at Southern Methodist University. He quickly rose through the ranks due to his tenacity and commitment to negotiate the best possible outcomes for clients. Additionally, Ali serves as in-house counsel for a commercial real estate firm where he brings elite expertise and experience in a critical field that affects athletes. By understanding all aspects of a real estate investment, Ali is able to provide numerous resources as it pertains to commercial real estate representation, single asset acquisitions, portfolio acquisitions, recapitalizations, dispositions, developments, and more.

Ray serves as an NFL Certified Agent and Executive Vice President of Football Operations at YOUNG MONEY APAA, bringing over ten years of experience in the industry.
Ray is fluent in areas regarding contract negotiation, player association legalities, endorsements, sponsorships, and draft preparation, and has negotiated multiple second and third contracts totaling over $100m in negotiated deals. He holds a PhD from Virginia Tech, an MA from Harvard University, an MBA from University of Roehampton in London, and attended law school at NWCU Law. Prior to his sports agent career, Ray was a full-time University Professor, teaching courses in organizational business, political economy, and sociology at the University of Hawaii and Pacific University. In addition, Ray is a seasoned veteran in private equity and start-up projects, having served in multiple executive roles in the tech space and helped grow a Fortune 100, Best Start-Up as an equity founder.
